Athletics
On athletics day it was a good sunny day. First I had long jump then I came 4th place. Then I walk over to shot put and it was alright. In the 100 min I came 1st it was fun running. After I had 1500 min and I came 2nd. After all my athletic spots I got a lce-block. It was a hot fun day and when I was running I got tired.

What Is White Powder?
Today you will be a forensic chemist.
A bag of white powder has been confiscated by the airport customs. You need to find out what white powder it is?
Aim: To learn about the makeup of different white powders.
There are a number of different white powders in our everyday life. Some of these are harmful and others are not. Test the four white powders listed to see which one has been found at the airport.
Here are some examples of everyday kitchen white powders.
Flour
Cornflour
Sugar
Salt
Baking Soda
Baking Powder
Icing Sugar
Tartaric Acid
Citric Acid
Gluten Free flour
Materials
1. Corn flour
2. Baking Soda
3. Salt
4. Water
5. Sugar
6. Vinegar
7. Lodine

On the black cardboard using a microscope you need to record what you see. You will be given a small amount of 4 white powders on your cardboard. Look at them under your microscope and record what you see.
Do not mix the powders or taste the powders.

Making Sherbet
Using the following recipe you need to make sherbet.

1 tsp of powdered drink crystals (eg refresh)
1/4 tsp citric acid
1/4 tsp tartaric acid
1/4 tsp -baking soda.
Put all ingredients into a zip lock bag, stir, and enjoy.
Materials:
1.little bag

4.Cornflour
5.Vinegar
Findings:
Sherbet
| First Whaea Jo put in the bag was 1/4 tsp taraic acid. Then we went over to Mr Pamler and Mr Pamler put in was sugar and cornflourand I think so vinegar to. |

| When I tasted it was so sweet is was pink and you could see so withe to. |

Dirty Water Experiment
Aim: To make a filtration plant using household materials.
Filtration is separating solids from liquids by adding a medium through which only the liquid can pass.
1.kidneys

Materials:
1.Bottle
2. stone
3.sand
4.dirty water
5. filter paper
6. cup
7.craft knife
8. scissors
Process
Step 1
Cut a empty water bottle
Step 2
Put the top half upside down into the other half.
STEP
Add layers of ,sand,stones,dirty water.
STEP 4
Get a cup of dirty water.
STEP 5
Pour the dirty water into the bottle.

Rainbow Paper
Rainbow Paper
Materials
1. Filter paper
2. Container
3.liquid
4.pour
5.Water
Process
Put a line across 2 cm from the top fold then at bottom but 1 cm. Put the black red and green dots along the 4 cm long cut in cup and filled the cup with some cold water just touching the paper
. Results colours race to the toe of the paper and the paper goes to a rainbow colour.
Step 1. Get a cup.
Step 2. Get a little pecs of paper.
Step 3. Get three felt pens.
Step 4. Get green, red and black.
Step 5. Draw three dots on the paper.
Step 6. Draw one dot each colour.
Step 7. Put the paper with the three dots in the cup.
Step 8. Just leave the paper siting in the cup.
Step 9. let the three colours mix a round the cup.

Understanding Song Lyrics
In literacy we have been learning about meaning of song lyrics. We listened to two songs, they were by Michael Jackson and Bruno Mars. We discussed and brainstormed the song title meanings.We then looked at the lyrics and what they meant.Treasure by Bruno Mars

Things that bug me
In writing we are leaning to create ideas. First we brainstorm as a class what bugs us. We asked Mr M what bugged him. Mrs McG then gave us 8 min to quickly writ our ideas down.
