Understanding Song Lyrics

In literacy we have been learning about meaning of song lyrics. We listened to two songs, they were by Michael Jackson and Bruno Mars. We discussed and brainstormed the song title meanings.We then looked at the lyrics and what they meant.Treasure by Bruno Mars

Things that bug me

In writing we are leaning to create ideas. First we brainstorm as a class what bugs us. We asked Mr M what bugged him. Mrs McG then gave us 8 min to quickly writ our ideas down.

Calendar Art

For calendar art we have learnt to make symmetrical shapes into a patten.

I really enjoyed using shapes to make a pattern but it was very hard to last years one and to get it perfect first we got a rough copy. Then we got the color paper and traced shapes out and glued.The shapes on the paper.

Question

In reading we are leaning to be good readers. To be a good reader you ask question before during and after you read something . We are leaning to ask different types of question. They are answer can be found in the text. This week we looked at photo.

As a group we sat on the mat and we did question about the photo.

In science we are learning about change. Change happens when we mix or combine two different reactants substances together. When this happens a chemical reaction takes place.

Winter Recipe

First we brainstormed winter related words. Then we talked about words use to measure when cooking. We then wrote Ingredients for winter using our group.
